Fx Joiner and Splitter 6.2.11

The functionality this J. Hepple-developed software a application provides is obvious from its name: Fx Joiner and Splitter. As the name so adequately points out, the program can be used to split a video file into several bits, or to take several bits of video and put them all together. There are some things that are not obvious from the application’s name though.

You couldn’t tell from the name that Fx Joiner and Splitter has been developed with ease of use in mind. As a matter of fact the application is so easy to use that even the novice computer user should be able to pick up the basics in no time at all.

The application’s other features cannot be guessed from the name either. Besides letting you split and join video files, Fx Joiner and Splitter can also do these other bits and pieces:
- Edit your video: change the ratio, height, width, and frame settings; apply various transition effects and speciall effects.
- Capture frames as still images. You can save a frame as JPEG, GIF, TIFF, PCX, WMF, EMF, TGA, PNG, RAS or BMP.
- Replace audio in a video
- Extract audio from a video
- Split and trim audio files
- Create a video from still images (this is where those transition effects come in handy).

Should you decide to get Fx Joiner and Splitter, there are some technical details you might want to know about. First up you may want to know that the download weighs in at some 20MB – it may take a while for the download to complete. Once the download complete you have to install the application to start using it. The installation process goes along smoothly and rapidly; Fx Joiner and Splitter works fine with XP and Vista. Once the app is up and running, you can use it free of charge for a trial period of 30 days.
